Thon Hotel Kirkenes

Hotel had good location and convenient transport. Very new hotel, good location and comfortable rooms.

Units with a view.

The room was spacious and well equipped. We really liked the Sami restaurant, had the most amazing reindeer fillet in a smoky, rustic underground atmosphere with a turf roof.

The flexibility of the staff in being able and willing to let us in early.

I especially liked the service of the staff and the proximity to the "mountains" for hiking.

A very comfortable and modern hotel with friendly staff. There are excellent views down the fjord. It was spacious and the food was excellent. The hotel was very conveniently situated close to the centre of Kirkenes.

The only thing lacking was a separate lounge area for guests. The ground floor was very much open plan. The price was high but perhaps this was because the hotel mainly serves business visitors.

New Hotel (opened May or March 2010) .. so I was expecting at least some degree of cleanliness... was not disappointed ... at all .. was more than pleasantly surprised... modern, neat, all facilities available... really nice location with stunning views from both room as well as breakfast/dining area... a lot of staff members were from abroad ... an Italian serving you an espresso in the cold of winter Norway .. what more do you want? .. very good hotel .. seemed no competition compared to alternatives ... food is better than restaurants we tried in city center ...

Perfect place to stay in Kirkenes.

We had a standard double room which was functional and enjoyable. A work desk, a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a radio were available here. Thoroughly enjoyed friendly check-in and late check-out.

Location was very convenient for the Hurtigruten which was our reason to stay. Modern and tasteful design.

The service of the hotel staff in the restaurant was terrible we waited for 20 minutes without anybody bothering to take even a drinks order so we left and went somewhere else.

The breakfasts were absolutely superb with delicious options and local dishes, as for instance and good service. The hotel was situated in the central location convenient to the shuttle to the airport.

Strongly recommend for resting at all

Wonderful rooms, wonderful staff, with a very clean room that included a kettle and tea for making hot drinks after exploring the nearby attractions.

Everything exceeded my hopes.

Bed was really comfortable

The weather, but they can do nothing about that....It was a little stark, but also off season. other guests were not real friendly..Again the thon Hotel can do nothing about that...
